"It's
the best thing I've ever done. It's been wonderful."
As
a homemaker and active volunteer in her community church, and
children's school, Sharon Root did not need the hassle of glasses
or contact lenses. That's why she opted for the surgery over
a million individuals have had - refractive surgery - performed
right here at home by Hunter Norris, M.D. of the Eye Care Center.
Sharon
had the procedure on her right eye two years ago and her
left eye last year. "You're always concerned
with any kind of surgery and, to be honest, I was a little
nervous something might go wrong. During both procedures there
was no pain whatsoever. After the procedure in my right eye
there was just a little pain, but after my second procedure,
there has been no pain in either eye. It's absolutely remarkable."
"I've
worn glasses or contacts since I was in the third grade and
I was just tired of dealing with them. There were a lot of
things I couldn't do because of my glasses-but loved to-like
waterskiing, snorkling, and swimming. It's the greatest gift
I could have-to be able to do the things I've always wanted
to do. In fact, I went snorkeling this past summer and it was
wonderful!
"Plus,
it's the little things - like just getting out of bed in
the morning and being able to read the digital numbers on
the clock without glasses. The results have been just amazing
to me."
